Persons Unknown

Anyone watch this tonight? Reminded me of a pair of Twilight Zone episodes. Good start so far.

Liked it, but I'm reserving judgment until we see where it's going.

That said, it is nice to see Alan Ruck in something as a lead again.

Yeah, Alan Ruck was great, besides that I don't know, looks kinda generic and none of the other actors made any impression on me... I'll keep watching to see where it goes.

Do any summer dramas on American network TV (that aren't primarily Canadian productions) ever make it?

Burn Notice is the only example that comes to mind.
And I know it's a bit early but I don't really see Persons Unknown surviving past season 1...

^ That's cable, which is why I said network. We're talking Keen Eddie, The Philanthropist, Windfall and all the shows starting up on ABC this month.

I was thinking more "Where is Everybody?" and "Stopover in a Quiet Town."

Yeah, the characters didn't exactly stand out (Alan Ruck was quite good though) but the situation they're in is interesting enough.

I watched it - liked it enough to keep watching thru the 13 episode run. The writing is pretty good and the situation is interesting but the actors are mediocre overall. The lead female character is highly annoying. I should feel sympathy about her anxiety for her daughter, but I don't, probably because the actress is off-putting.

The ratings are terrible, but it's summer, so hopefully NBC won't pull the plug.
