It is official - iPhone 4

Steve Jobs - "There are over 100 new features"

Steve Jobs - "Glass on the front and back, and steel around the sides. It's like a beautiful old Leica camera."

Steve jobs - ""It is 24% thinner than the iPhone 3GS."

Steve - "what are these lines? They are part of the primary structural elements of the phone... this is part of brilliant engineering. It uses the band as part of the antenna system!"



I really think that is cool, the band on the outside is part of the antenna system, the left side does Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS and the right does UMTS and GSM.


Well, i'm not going to list everything, just read the Engadget webpage for screencaps of the presentation and everything.

The new hardware looks pretty sweet aside from the non-removable battery. If you can use one of these without having to install iTunes I think I would happily trade my Win-Mo device for one.

new 5 mega pixel camera with LED illuminator, but they didn't increase the pixel size? I'm not sure what that means?

The ONLY thing I'm dissapointed about is lack of 4G support. It is not very forward thinking in that regard. But I'm sure Apple has an iPhone 4G planned for that in a year

Apple doesn't exactly have a track record of pioneering on radio tech. Besides, why do you want a radio that you're never going to turn on?

Non-removable battery? Then strikes me as a serious privacy concern.

Even if you shut the phone off, the government has the means to activate the recorder on the phone. The only way to ensure that is to take out the battery.
