I rarely rewatch the movies, but watch the eps again and again.

Outside of TOS I intend to get the first three seasons of TNG. Then I'm done.
I may get TNG is they do HD versions of blu-ray, but I'm in no hurry. I've got Trek on blu-ray, which I consider the compete collection. The other stuff is just extra, mostly derivitive work created by other people which doesn't count.
Yeah.

I have TOS, TAS, TMP DE, TWoK DE and I'll get TNG S1-3.

Do they (TNG 1-3) have the more direct Roddenberry influence?
The first two seasons are hit and miss, but there's something in them I like. And there are some good episodes in season two. The best of them (and my favourite TNG episode) is "The Measure Of A Man." It really has a TOS feel to it.

Season three is where TNG hit its stride. But in season four I see the cliches and formulas that are starting to get entrenched. For me from there it's downhill. Season four is okay, but I'm not sure if I'd pay for it. Of course, on the other hand you do need season four to get the second part of "Best Of Both Worlds." After doing it once I really hated that TNG would finish the season with a cliff-hanger.

Y'know, I watched TNG all once.

Awhile back I Netflixed S1 and watched in order with my kids. They weren't bad.

My recollection/feelings about TNG are that it definitely got cliched. This is perhaps from the movies too.

I almost never watch the movies but this year I rewatched the TOS films all in order while reading Shatner's Movie Memories book. I still pretty much liked and disliked the same ones, but Shatner's book gives some good insights that make watching them more fun. That having been said, I feel like I don't need to see them again for quite some time.

But like a lot of us I have all of the ST series which is nearly 700 episodes
Whoa whoa whoa, 700??? I only own TOS 3 seasons, TAS, the movies and the Fan Collectives.;) I'd need to make twice what I do to get ALL of Trek!!!!

E-bay, Craigslist, Pawn Shops & newspaper classified ads are your friends! (I only bought one of the series and none of the movies via retail... all in _great_ condition and a whole lot cheaper than retail!)

I've got nearly all of Trek on DVD too. All of it. I'm missing a couple of seasons of TNG, ENT, and VOY (and I don't have TAS yet), but I've all the movies (including the new one), all of TOS and all of DS9. I plan to collect the stuff I'm missing eventually.

I just wait until the retailers have a sale on, and sell the season box sets at low prices. And when the sale is running, I stock up on a few Trek boxsets!

And then of course to find the time to watch all this stuff!
