Repairing Star Trek VOY Com-Badge - HELP

ST-TNG-FAN91

Ensign
Newbie
Greetings fellow humans and humanoids alike. I come before you with a matter of great urgency. A while ago I purchased a Star Trek Voyager/DS9 issue Com-Badge which makes that Com-Badge sound when you tap it. I often use my Com-Badge when going out in public and until recently it has performed impeccably. Recently however, I have suffered a crushing blow to my existence for my Com-Badge has ceased to make the sound when I tap it. You could say I was like Darth Vader in Episode III when he was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" or Picard in First Contact when Lilly told him to "BLOW UP THE DAMN SHIP" and Picard was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!".

You get the idea.

So I want to know what my options are for fixing and/or replacing it. Bellow is a link to the 20th century circuitry of my Com-Badge. I'm no expert when it comes to repairing this sort of thing. The alternative would be to purchase a new one, however I have yet to find a Com-Badge of comparable quality.

As fellow Trek Fans I'm sure you understand the dire nature of my situation. The fate of my Com-Badge is in Positronic and Neural Matrixes of this community.

Live long and prosper to you, and hopefully my Com-Badge,

Yes, I've replaced the batteries but to no avail. Upon doing so however I got the device to make sounds but they were heavily distorted as if played in slow motion.

Any ideas?

Try different batteries.. or it could be the contacts. Or it could just be the speaker.

If your repair efforts fail, then you would probably be able to find a replacement badge for a reasonable price.
