Schematics made with Vance's toolkit

The Sacramento again. This time with a sensor module. Note the correct hull markings (I'm happy that it was pointed out on the first Sac).

Based on this comment on the ADB Ramius class

[...]
The frigate I'm not so sure of, though, just because having nacelles so close to the ship feels 'off' to me, especially in the Original Series. Perhaps having an aft-facing boom from the saucer, and the 3 nacelles going off the boom?

Cassard class courier
(because the ship seems to small to me to be a frigate, which i see (according to FASA stuff) as a roughly cruiser sized vessel which is predominantly designed for military assignment)

Raptor class frigate

...and something, that kind of happend inbetween:

Leopard class corvette

Very good and well thought designs :) :techman:

The USS Sacramento Refit without Module.

I love it! :top:

Although to make it perfect, you need to follow the different mode of applying name and registry in this area:

1 Font: Its a Microgamma Extended font with an extra outline:
You can download it from here: http://www.wobbelhome.de/fonts.htm

It's called Starfleet

2. With this font the registry is written smaller and without spaces, the name (written in all capitals) on top of the saucer is also curved.

3. On the sides the registry is in the rear space of the nacelle. Under it (very small, try matching the length of the registry as good as possible) is written (again, all capitals) UNITED FEDERATION OF PLANETS.

".5 new ones:

Komagatake class light cruiser

The Komagatake class light cruiser proved to be a very dynamic and vessel and was very well liked by its crews. When Starfleet needed to shift their priorites, this class was choosen to help out. Only five years after Komagatake herself was lauched, conversion began on 16 of the 45 ships build, beginning with St. Helens, which just had finished trials. The Modified Komakatake class was equipped with a big sensor pod and was reclassified as survey cruiser.

and another design based on a Trek11 ship:

Gustav Mahler class assault cruiser

I thought about it, doing it as a planned version, that never got build that way (like the TOS Decatur in Starship Design). At the moment i think, since the project at earliest bagan after Kirk handed in his reports on "Balance of Terror", that the most appropiate look for that plan would be a "Lost Years" version.

My backstory was that she was a one-of-a-kind prototype that ended up offering no advantages over the stock Miranda, so no more were made. But I had no clue so many folks would like her, so I don't mind changing that.

I didn't think about changing that. I remember the one of a kind thing, but don't have exact dates. The idea is, that the project was started shortly after Kirk's report. Because of that i would go more for the "lost years" components rather than straightforward TOS components, because that would be the state-of-the-art at that time. So those plans would represent a finished exterior design, but the other details of the design would then take so long, that, when construction finally started, a new generation of components had become state-of-the-art, and the exterior design changed with that.

Although i guess, Section 31 really would like to have a small fleet of those ships handy...;)

The USS Bonn, sister ship to the Sacramento. This time with better markings and a couple of other corrections.

All better?

Next, I'll do a 'pulled out of mothballs to fight the Borg' version.
