Classic Anime Fantasy/Sci Fi suggestions?

Blassreiter - not brilliant but not bad; worth a look
Cowboy Bebop - not brilliant but not bad; worth a look (sure that'll make me popular )
Dennou Coil - the cast are a bit on the young side but it has some interesting cyberpunkish stuff in it
Ergo Proxy - pretentious but has a good atmosphere and some nice imagery
Murder Princess - good fun
Requiem from the Darkness - quite grotesque and more horror than fantasy
Seirei no Moribito - has one of the best fight sequences I've seen (shame there wasn't more of that really), and is generally great visually, and has a superb, hard as nails female lead
Serial Experiments Lain - weird and depressing (seems very David Lynch to me)
Simoun - fantastic setting (though I didn't really get the ending)
The Vision of Escaflowne - about as FANTASY as it gets
Witch Hunter Robin - pretty good; kinda X-Filesish

Yeah I never reall "got" Cowboy Bebop myself A bit surprising considering it had all the elements I like. Personally, I consider Samurai Champloo the better of the two

Ah Cowboy Bepop seen that , Ergo Proxy was another I forgot to mention I've seen along with serei no Moribito agree with what yah say about that one.

Noein was another anime I've seen, are there many other alternate reality type Animes like Tsubasa Chronicles/Neoin/The Twelve Kingdoms ? and Guin Saga has gotten me interested in other High fantasy type anime also.

Glad I'm not the only one. Yeah, I liked Samurai Champloo, though I found the ending a little unsatisfying; but that's anime for you. heh

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (also known by the bastardized American name, When They Cry), Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai, and Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Rei

Though most of those are more of the "fantasy" vibe.

It was in the list in the link I posted earlier, but seconded. Great supernatural mystery/thriller films.
