How do you celebrate this day?

trekkiedane, thank you so much for bringing this important day to my attention. As it is a 'good drying day' as my Nan would have said ~ I think I will celebrate by washing my towels and bathing them in gold orchid infusions!
Once a year is enough to wash your towels isn't it? :vulcan:

Maybe I'll get a little high...

I'm a man who knows where his towel is. And that's good enough for me.

:D

^ If you mean the books, then yes. If you mean The Guide itself, well...I have Teh Internets. Unfortunately, I have no handheld device for accessing it...

:D

^I always have the guide (and lots of Trek) on my pocket internet :)

It has been a somewhat strange day to spend on a beach with my towel.

You see, it has been really cold and windy here :rommie:

Happy Towel Day, everyone. And thanks for all the fish. :bolian:

So you're leaving the planet tonight ahead of some mysterious cataclysm (probably Earth being demolished by those aliens Stephen Hawking warned us about) and letting us lowly humans all stay and die? Typical dolphin....

I only ever celebrated International Towel Day once, the first one two weeks after Douglas Adam's death.

I walked through the city centre carrying my towel. No-one paid me much attention but eventually a young man who was also carrying a towel came up to me and asked me if I was carrying the towel to honour DA. I said yes, and he invited to have a coffee with him. We spent an hour having a wonderful conversation about digital watches, mice, dolphins, petunias etc. Then we said goodbye and I never saw him again.
