'Create your own answers/explanations' Thread

Gryffindorian

There are a lot of viewers who express disappointment in the finale for not having certain aspects of the mythology fully explained or answered. So what better way to do it than to create my/your/our own answers! It doesn't matter if your theories are substantial or downright outrageous; they're just theories!

Does anyone have questions they want answered or answrs they want explained? Ask me. ;)

I wanted to know the first thing MIB was going to do when he got to some populated place with other humans.

My guess is, he would have had a hot dog and coke and went to Disneyworld.

Yeah, that is probably the only thing I would have really liked explained more. Once MiB left the Island, what the hell was his plan?

Yup. The show didn't explain why John Locke was bald. Couldn't the island grow his hair back the way he was able to regain the use of his legs?

I want to know whether the plane survivors tried to tell the authorities the truth, and if so, how quickly were they tossed into a looney bin?

I want to know whether they were a big news story (I'm sure they were) and if they developed a cult of followers who were convinced that either they were telling the truth or the truth was something so insane that their story was the cover story!

Snoop Dog would want to be his best friend.

There's really only a couple things I wanted answered that didn't get answered. Why was it so important that Aaron be raised by Claire? Why did Desmond say he saw Claire in a vision getting on helicoptor? Was he lying? And what were the "rules" and how exactly were they implemented?

I can't really think of anything else. My gf's biggest question is "What is the island?" but I feel like it's been answered. It's an island that exists over a pocket of weird electromagnetic energy. Beyond that, the island means something different to everyone.

All I really wanted was for somebody do some Basil Exposition, and tell us who built the frickin' hole with the stone phallus, built the statue, and carved glyphs in the tunnels. Were they Atlanteans or what? Were they the first folks to realize that the human race somehow depends on the mystical crapolla that goes on in the hole?

The Egyptian statue and hieroglyphs were probably made by the ancient Egyptians, who, according to some historians and conspiracy theorists, had advanced knowledge of astronomy and mathematics and were influenced by aliens who visited the Earth millennia ago. Those Egyptians must have landed on the island at some point in history while exploring the world. Centuries later, the island would be discovered by ancient Roman soldiers and explorers, and Mother was one of them, which is why she spoke Latin.

My explanation is... it's magic, it doesn't have to make sense!

Every time Desmond told Charlie one of his visions, the events changed - even slightly.

Several slight changes and Claire didn't make the chopper.

Heck, Desmond knocked out Charlie and was going to ... do the mission himself and that changed events. Between the two of them, they might have screwed everyone out of getting off the island ...
