3 NEW STARSHIP DESIGNS

Been doodling some new classes. I'm trying to get away from the traditional saucer/secondary hull. The Pandora and Druid classes have an energy core that is on a par with the Hadron Collider. It can be used to extract energy from mutliple dimensions at once; hence the ring shape hull

Pandora class

Obelisk class

Druid class

I know they aren't technically drawn correctly. Just some draft versions really. Let me know what you think

You should really change your avatar. It inspired me to look at your Pandora and think "flying giant throne"! Obselisk is very strange, but the most interesting of the group. I have no idea why, but it makes me think of some non-Starfleet ship, like maybe the Vulcans or Andorians. Maybe it could be an Earth ship?

Hold on a second... OK, yes, mere drafts, but there are intriguing elements from all three that, if combined, offer the possibility of the most brilliant and completely original Star Trek design EVER conceived!

Yes, the second and third designs are interesting, but the first reminds me of a toilet seat with a built-in bidet.

Nothing tickling my fancy with these ones, I dont see them being Federation designs either. Whatever they are they must be humungously large, going by the number and size of windows. Some bits of the second one are quite interesting, but that's it for me. Nice try at doing something very different.

The Obelisk offers a very cool shape, but has no depth and doesn't seem particularly thought-out as far as what is doing what on there. By far the most interesting of the bunch though.

Yes, his Obelisk is a cool shape, but his Druid class, to MY way of thinking, is the most tantalizing because of the potential.

Mind you, I would TOTALLY re-work it. I am exploring dumping the front big pod thingie and the warp nacelle "Le Boobs" setup, and dropping in his Obelisk class saucer into the middle of that horizontal ring. THEN, I'm monkeying with turning that ring into the warp drive system.

On the Pandora, what are the blue lights in the middle of the aft column? Is the top one the deflector?

Your guess is as good as mine. I was just doodling. Sometimes its fun just to draw things and make up a function for them after.

I know they are kind of odd. Also the comment about the annular hull being removed on the druid class would make the ship a bit like Prometheus from Stargate

Mmh, I see the similarity now. But I think that the big-ass forward sphere and the large nacelles are enough to make it unique.

I've always wanted to portray another alien species like this. Other races should have figure out that fast warp drive starts with the proper field contour...
