What about Alien Nation?

It may never have been a franchise but the Willow property could be revived and tweaked. Was frankly surprised Lucas didn't jump on that during or after the LOTR movies.

They tried with novels...about what could be expected.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Would love to see an updated version of the series that has ties to the original. The amount of cool secret agent gadgets today would be sick, but it would also have to had two leads that could play well off each other. I could see a big spy-oriented, save-the-world video game developed off a modern (if not slightly futuristic) take of it.

Pretty sure there is a movie in the works currently.

But how do you make a show about something that will drive you mad just by looking at it?! Who's temples are composed of such MADDENING GEOMETRIES AS TO INSPIRE THOSE WHO GAZE UPON IT TO GOUGE THEIR OWN EYES OUT!

There were talks a few months ago about a Foundation movie, possibly directed by Micheal Bay, which is really odd choice considering the stories are philosophical and don't contain much action.

I've been reading a collection of Lovecraft stories recently. That would be absolutely epic. It would need a decent budget and excellent writing/acting, though, to pull off the sort of psychological horror that is part and parcel of Lovecraft.

There was a game called Delta Green, which basically involved a secret military organization with a Stargate-y vibe that went around dealing with the coming of the Old Ones. Was pretty damn epic.

I gave up on AD&D for the superior system known as Runequest, that also has one of the best thought out fantasy worlds ever created. Fantasy Games Unlimited made a post apocalyptic game known as Aftermath which I found to be more playable than Morrow Project.

That's a crit of the systems, which I'm not going to argue for or against.

Would you be interested in tv/movie projects based on the settings is the question I'm asking.

I suppose that if Shadowrun were to be developed today, it would almost have to be an anime project.

I'd almost be tempted to add Space: 1889 to the list, but maybe that's TOO specialized a property...

A movie or show set in the Runequest world of Glorantha would be great. They could cover the epic Hero Wars or the journey of the Lightbrigers.
