Palmer served a full 4-year-term then stopped seeking re-election. (Prescot was President for a short time during Palmer's term.)
Keeler served part of his term (about 2 years I think) and then Logan finished the term through the end of S5.
When Logan was removed from office Gardner took over to finish Logan's term.
Wayne Palmer was next elected president, served only a few months, and then taken out office due to injuries sustained during Day 6 he was replaced with Daniels.
Daniels served the rest of Plamer's term and was not voted back into office, Taylor won that election cycle.
There's only been four election cycles over the course of the series (including Season 1) but seven presidents.
S1 - S4 (full term): D. Palmer (Did not seek re-election.)
S4 - S5 (partial term): Keeler. (Removed from office due to injury.)
S4 - S5 (partial term): Logan. (Removed from office in disgrace.)
S5 - S6 (partial term): Gardner (Elected out of office.)
S6 (partial term): W. Palmer (Removed from office due to injury.)
S6 - S7 (partial term): Daniels. (Elected out of office.)
S7 - S8 (full term): Taylor. (the first president in three election cycles to serve a full term.)
And I'm only presuming Taylor will do her full term, right now she's only been in office for around 2 years.
