Captain America: First Avenger is likely to be the first Marvel movie to get the 3-D treatment.

With 3D films being seen as a license to print money, it's not at all surprising that Marvel would be pondering when to jump on the bandwagon.

If Marvel is going to do 3D, they want to do 3D right. "The team has been doing a lot of research into 3-D processes, and we're looking at it on future films when we have the time," Feige said. "We will be doing it at some point." That point may be Thor (which wasn't shot on 3D cameras and would have to be converted in post), but it's far more likely to be The First Avenger: Captain America.

Or the past, given that they've already taken the Ultimate Nick Fury route. I assume he'll be one of the participants in the Super Soldier program.

Or the past, given that they've already taken the Ultimate Nick Fury route. I assume he'll be one of the participants in the Super Soldier program.

You know that would be an interesting way to show 616 Nick Fury. Have him be involved with the Super Soldier program and then we find out that in this new Marvel movie-verse the Nick Fury that Sam Jackson is more of a code-name like say James Bond, that can be handed down.

Lots of characters? So far all we have is Cap, Bucky, Peggy Carter, Red Skull and Armin Zola (the typical scientist toadie of the main villain). Not so loaded.

+ Howard Stark, still not overloaded.

I do expect an appearance by at least one or two Invaders in some form at least.

they said the Invaders will appear and i've heard a rumour the Howling Commandos appear. and Fury's a cast-iron certainty for at least one appearance in the present-day scenes. IIRC, there was a mention of 7 Invaders...

It was 6, I believe, and most people have been counting Steve and Bucky as two of them.

I don't see the big deal about that story either...lots of Americana stories are filmed in other foreign locations. I laughed when I saw that story...but I suppose it could bug some traditionalists.

What needs to be filmed in America for the film? The article says that there are scenes literally set in London. I also assume much of the film is against a WWII backdrop in war-torn Europe.

they will have bits set in the U.S but the major chunk of it will be Europe based which is really good of them.

I agree. This smacks of the media trying to create some outrage where none should exist.
I'm sure some shooting in Hollywood on soundstages is going to take place so some revenue will be on home soil. Not to mention the F/X. Hasn't Lucas done the F/X on IM and Hulk so that is money staying at home.
