NHL Discussion - 2009-2010 Season

--EDIT--

4-for-4 on the PP, and Halak took the walk of shame early in the third!

The Pens quadrupled the number of PP goals the vaunted Caps scored against Montreal all series long. :D

Alright Montreal! Halak gets his groove back!
They go back to Montreal with a split. Well done! :techman:

And how nice to see the tables turned with the other team trying to even the score and get scored on to nail the game shut.

Only thing that would made me a little happier earlier would have been to see someone nail Ovechkin. Now I'm hoping someone nails Cooke.

What a game tonight in San Jose. Back and forth all night long and once again Joe "big" Pavelski was absolutely on fire all game long. He was all over the ice, and his line with Clowe and Setoguchi so far is the best line in this series. It was such a great game to watch on both sides, with hard hitting, and Detroit bringing it's best and San Jose bringing it's best.

One thing I noticed about the Sharks tonight though, they played with a swagger I don't think I've ever seen the team play with. All season long one of the things I notice when they lost was that it almost seemed like they didn't show up, didn't want to show up, or just lack emotional fire. I say always, win or lose, play like you give a damn. Well tonight, the Sharks had this new confidence that was not there since the Game 5 Marathon in Dallas a few years ago. It was just amazing to watch and made for a very exciting Hockey game.

Going into Game 3, I am absolutely thrilled they are up 2-0 instead of a split. Detroit is such a tough place to play and if they can steal a game, hopefully in Game 3, than that will be great. I still want to see more production from the Top line, and once again Marleau is non-existent, but keep that swagger going. It was incredible to watch.

Great games by the Canucks, Habs and Sharks. Thornton finally has a minkey off his back, maybe.

I'm assuming Patrick kane thought beating the Canucks would be easy because of his experience beating taxi drivers and then beating the charges. Go home, mullet-head.

^ How about the dirty hit on Mitchell? The game was already decided and that asshole boards Mitchell who is still out with a concussion.

So yeah, while I liked him up to that point, I can't stand him anymore.

I'd imagine we could find a few Blackhawks fans that would say it was karma for Mitchell's headshot to Toews. (And no, I'm not saying it was.)

Woot! Beat the Habs at their own game.

Wow... Detroit is already facing elimination. The Sharks winning the series wouldn't be an upset, but doing it in four or five would be a hell of a stunner.

Nice win for the Hawks last night and Big Buff was on fire. Either warm pucks or bad ice last night as the pucks just kept jumping around on both teams for the whole game. Great stops by Anti in the first period.

I don't know if I'd be as excited as you if I were a Pens fan. It seems that all the Habs need to do now is score and they will win. We'll see what happens... :)

Spend a shitload of money on a Canucks ticket and what do you get? Bah.

I gotta stop going to hockey games. Seems like every time I do, the home team loses. :borg:
