Doctor Who isn't sci fi according to Terry Pratchett

Good job Captain Subtext will be part of the Tardis crew to help out by then.

Jack: "Doctor, I think my big end's gone!"

That's insane, people don't way one thing and mean another, it just doesn't happen.

Yeah not all of us have a sub-conscious

Man I'd give almost anything to have Jeff turn up in Who!

no, bob, i've never watched Coupling.

You should, it's a lot of fun, and you'd recognise the Jeffisms we've been using in this tread.

Seconded, it really is one of my all time favourite tv shows, exceptionally well written by the Moff (well maybe not so well written in series 4 but still quite good!)

Well just to link this bizarre Doctor Who/Coupling/Pratchett up in a nice way, Jeff from Coupling will be in Terry Pratchett's Going Postal later this month (saw the trailer this morning), and no doubt at least one character in it will have been in Doctor Who at some point.

Yeah I saw that trailer. I'd love for Coyle to turn up in Who at some point but don't know how likely that is. I don't think he and Moffat fell out but I know he got sick of people running up to him and shouting gusset so he might not want to put himself in harm's way again!

I was wondering if we would get a Coupling actor showing up at some point. Moffat did hire Gina Belman for Jekyll but by all accounts he didn't want her because of the coupling connection and he had to be badgered into seeing that she was the best person for the role.

Belman and Davenport seem to be working in the US at the moment, not that that precludes them working over here (Alex Kingston works both sides of the Atlantic quite happily).

Not that it is likely he'll use any of the Coupling main cast given the doubts he had over Gina B in Jekyll, but if he did my money would be on Kate Issit being the first one to show up...although the perfect character for her to play would have been Cassandra ;)

... no doubt at least one character in it will have been in Doctor Who at some point.

Tamsin Grieg, the nurse from 'The Long Game', plays Saccharisa Cripslock.

Andrew Sachs, from the Big Finish version of 'Shada' will be Tolliver Groat.

Steve Pemberton plays Drumknott. He was Strackman Lux in 'Silence in the Library/Forrest of the Dead.'

So, a good start there.
