The 10 Doctors: The Search For 8

My beautiful wife recently bought me the greatest present a non-sci-fi loving wife could buy for her geek of a husband. A custom made diorama of 4's console and console room. It looks absolutely awesome and here are some photos of my 10 Doctors on a mission to find 8.

He is looking to get Eight, I guess its hard to find? whould not the license rights for Eight and anything in the movie have to come from Fox and not the BBC like the others?

I also wondered how much the beeb payed Fox for McGanns image in The Next Doctor and The Eleventh Hour. Fox will probably use a company like Mattel or Hasbro for Eight.

Besides, we have already had a leaked image of the prototype for Eight...

The eighth Doctor is wholly owned by the BBC, I think, since he counts as just another incarnation of the Doctor, a character owned by the BBC. It's just TVM-original characters like Grace and Chang Lee that the BBC don't have the rights to.

Unless I'm mistaken, there's no point in searching for an Eight figure right now because he hasn't been released yet. But it's definately on my Must Get list when it is.

Yeah your right on that one. The doctor is a character owned and created by the BBC dispite what actor plays him. Same also for the Master and the Tardis, just new movie only elements Fox would own.

Wish my gf would buy me some DW gifts. She barely tolerates my collection as it is.

I've seen pics of that set (and similar) on other forums though whether they were all made buy the same person I couldn't say. As gorgeous as it is though, there's no way I'd be paying close to $800 for it.

As for the 8th Doctor, he's coming. Pics of the prototype, and the finished figure are out there. It's just a question of when, and whether or not the figure will be a general release, an exclusive to UT/FP, an SDCC exclusive, or whether it'll only be available in the 11 Doctors set that is apparently being released closer to Christmas.
