Awful songs with great guitar riffs

I've been listening to music from my high school days recently. I was very into nuMetal back then.

It's not very good music, sadly. However, I was able to understand it a little bit. There are some killer guitar riffs in there, even if they're surrounded by some pretty shitty songs.

The two that I've noticed are the last 30 or so seconds of Limp Bizkit's "Counterfeit" and Deftones' "My Own Summer."

What are some shitty songs that have undeniably awesome guitar parts?

If I don't like a song it doesn't matter if the guitars...or music in general are great...I either like it or don't.

Kid Rock taking the riffs from Sad But True by Metallica would fit what you are asking...actually I don't like the song itself but the guitars are really good.

nuMetal? Is that the repetitive throaty crap where the bloke screams like an unintelligible banshee with a concussion while someone with a severe caffeine addiction abuses a guitar for two and a half minutes, or am I thinking of something else?

Either way, I think I need to go wash my ears out with some Iron Maiden now. ;)

Anything by Limp Bizkit.

If you can tune out Fred Durst, both Wes Borland and the guy who ultimately replaced him actually have some pretty catchy guitar licks on a lot of tracks that don't get any airplay...almost a shame, really.

The first thing that comes to mind is "Yankee Rose" by David Lee Roth. Steve Vai was amazing and wasted his talent in this band. The same could be said about Billy Sheehan as well.
