Do you think we will get to see more of the tardis rooms, and will the spend more time int the control room after spending alot of money to build it. It seems the new doctor since it came back spends less time in it.

I was wondering that too. I realize there are budgetary concerns and everything, but after Eleventh Hour it just felt like the natural next step would be to follow Amy a bit further in her exploration of the TARDIS.

Unfortunately it looks like that was all done off-screen.

It is funny, because given how large the TARDIS is, you should easily be able to just film scenes in already established locations (similar to how they filmed the museum scene in last weeks episode in a giant church...and I think it worked splendidly). Get permission to film in some giant library, claim you are in the TARDIS, walk through some doors with a little trick photography and be in the console room.

The whole point of the Tardis is that it can take you anywhere and anywhen. Why the hell do people want to waste screen time wandering around inside the damned thing?

^ The other point of the TARDIS is that it's bigger on the inside ;)

As much as we're aware of that from the console room, it would be nice to occasionally see other rooms, or have a single episode spent wandering around. 1 episode in 5 seasons wouldn't be too much of a waste, especially if it's well written and has a point to it.

Maybe instead of a Doctor lite episode? Those aren't always the best anyways, outside of Blink, which is a keeper.

My understanding is that the Doctor-lite episodes are a necessity because of the Christmas specials.

Also, Turn Left was another good Doctor-lite episode. Love and Monsters wasn't bad either, despite what everyone says. It's not one of my favourites, but it was a solid episode all the same.

Well its interesting that there was a pretty solid and consistant rumour that the secon episode of S5 was going to feature the Doctor and Amy battling monsters inside the TARDIS!

I think we will see more of the console room, just not till later in the season. One big benefit of the new console room is the doorways leading off to other parts of the TARDIS, even if we never see other rooms it is at least more obvious that they're there.

I never used to care that much about the rest of the TARDIS either (especially when they were usually just a bunch of bare white rooms with hardly anything in them).

But now that they did such a great job establishing the TARDIS as this magical new place in Eleventh Hour, and created such a fairytale-like Console Room, I'm suddenly DYING to see more.

To new fans, who have only gotten into Doctor Who since 2005, they barely know the TARDIS extends past the control room, and maybe a wardrobe room, they really have no scope of how big the thing really is in the inside. I think this is something that should have already been explored, so that new fans can understand the grand scale of the TARDIS. I am hoping that this does get explored.

I have some hope that it will be explored since the Doctor in 11th hour mentioned the swimming pool and library a lot. In fact he came out of the TARDIS all wet cause he fell into the swimming pool apparently. This gives me hope that they are going to actually show all of this at some point, at least it helped establish what kind of things are there inside.

I was watching some old serials lately, and they really did show a lot of the TARDIS, you saw companions have their own room, you saw the zero room, you saw the swimming pool, you saw the cloister room and various other areas, and who can forget Tom Baker running around in empty warehouse storage rooms in "The Invasion of Time", they really made the inside look Industrial in that serial.

Fun?

Travels in time and space are much more fun.

I think you have to mix it up, the same ole thing becomes stale, having an episode that takes place completely in the TARDIS can be refreshing, and provide new insight into it which new fans are unaware of.

I remember hearing earlier in the year that the second episode of this season would be a bottle show set inside the Tardis and nowhere. Shame we never got that. I don't think we'll ever get anything like that again.

How spoiled we were by the Cloyster Room in the 1996 Movie.
