Boo, the show is a guilty pleasure and I'll miss it.
Oh that sucks. Seeker was one of the few shows I've truly enjoyed on a regular basis this season. So with it and LOST wrapping up I really don't have much in the way of sf/f to look forward to. Supernatural has gotten so hit or miss that I simply don't care for it, Flash Forward was a bust, CAPRICA was a plodding pretentious bore, Heroes imploded so even if it comes back I won't be watching.
I guess that pretty much just leaves FRINGE and Vampire Diaries but I enjoyed Seeker the most out of those three--it was a nice entertaining hour to spend each week with a wonderful cast.

The books are quite different so you won't be disappointed in not seeing your favourite scenes if that's what you mean.
Well that really sucks. Seeker wasn't a great show, but I loved having a weekly fantasy series to watch again. I practically grew up watching Hercules and Xena (and Sinbad), so it was great to have that back in some small way. With Legend of the Seeker being canceled that just puts another nail in the coffin of the fantasy genre.

Good reason to never watch anything.Well this is freaking gay. Its one of the few shows I look forward to every week. Apparently SyFy was considering to pick up the series, but decided against it for some reason. Would of been great pairing up with Merlin. Hopefully it doesn't have a cliffhanger ending.

They could make a spin-off. WWE: Mord Sith. It would be a prequel where Mord Sith would compete in a wrestling tournament in order to become part of Darken Rahl's elite circle. The ratings would be enormous.

Legend of the Seeker wasn't fine art, but it was a fun sword and sorcery series that I looked forward to every week.

"freaking gay" in the context you used is dangerously close to hate speech. What, exactly, do you have against gays, and why do you think it is acceptable to use derogatory language such as that to associate your unhappiness with a television show being canceled, via hate speech?

The language changes. The only people who think that's hate speech are those who perceive it that way themselves. For it to actually be hate speech, it has to be intended to be hate speech. Slang is slowly but surely redefining what that phrase means which, honestly, is something the homosexual community should be behind rather than flailing about in mocked outrage.

That said, I do agree with you that writing "that's gay" is sorely outdated, insulting, and wholly unnecessary. Greater care can be taken whilst typing, and as Checkmate has indicated, it's also part of colloquial slang. Not slang I particularly care for or approve of, but slang nonetheless.
However, that does not change the fact that this thread is about the cancellation of Legend of the Seeker, and I'd hate to see it get shut down because of an entirely unrelated issue that has cropped up.
