I Found My Girlfriend on Street View!

Once, my friend was showing him in the arial view where he'd had a car accident. We saw his car in the photo. Lucky timing.

my house is on street view and i'm at home, cuz the blind is shut in my bedroom, so i was on my PC...

my ex supervisor at work is on it out the back smoking a faaaaaaag...

Thanks!
I was wondering if they blur the faces on purpose. I'd guess so.

Yup. It's so they can be sure they comply with various international privacy laws. They have an algorithm that recognizes faces, so occasionally you'll see a billboard, KFC logo, etc. that gets blurred out as well.

This technology is incredible but it freaks me out. We are talking BIG BROTHER here. And everyone else in the world as well.....

My grandma is on street view taking out her trash. She says she remembers that day, and some creepy guy going around snapping pictures everywhere.

Wow.. Pretty cool. Streetview for my house shows my car in the drive, which I thought was pretty cool as well.

I can't see my house from streetview...it is too far back and there are alot of trees...which is good.

I'm pretty sure it is an automatic camera mounted on top of a van/suv. Not calling your grandma a liar, but that creepy guy wasn't from google.

Well she doesn't live on an actual street really, you can drive on it but its not really meant for cars, so I don't know what they did. I thought it was hilarious that she was just standing there staring at the camera though.

So now, not only do we have to wear clean underwear in case we're in an accident, but we have to always be well-groomed for Google. :(

My window is pretty much on the road, so right now I am standing about 2 feet in front of it looking in on Google street view. I can see my table and some candles on it, but fortunately the reflection on the glass stops you seeing any further.

I just used street view to go around my favorite parts of my hometown, Winnipeg.
I'm living in Asia now and haven't gone back to Winnipeg in 5 years so it made me very nostalgic.
