Needs of the Many features in Star Trek Magazine 25

No fiction extract this time around following the shuffling of Pocket's schedule (reprinted in the issue), but there's still quite a bit of TrekLit related material in the new issue of STM, which has already hit newsstands in the States, and should be out in the UK shortly after Easter.

Full Circle's Kirsten Beyer writes an assessment of Kathryn Janeway, up to and including her death (in one timeline) as the centerpiece of our Voyager 15th anniversary coverage. There's also a piece by Kevin Lauderdale comparing Kirk's hero Abraham Lincoln with Janeway's Da Vinci.

Marco Palmieri continues his detailed insights into Star Trek Online with a look at the Undine (aka Species 8472 to those who haven't got into STO), as well as the lives of Miral Paris and Naomi Wildman. Needs of the Many author Michael A. Martin gives an insight into the book's creation - and elements of it feature in the various earlier features as well.

There's also a great feature on the history of fanzines, with some memory-jogging covers from the great mags of the past 40 years.

Add in an interview with Borg kid Manu Intiraymi and the continued Path to 2409, and you've got this month's offering.

Enjoy!

I just finished the issue a couple days ago, and I really liked it. I was kinda disapointed that there was no fiction extract, but the rest of the issue was good enough that it made up for that. I

As of the time of going to press, there wasn't anything available that wouldn't be in the shops by the time the issue hit the streets. Unfortunately the same applies with issue 26 although a LOT of TrekLit writers contribute to that one...

Issue 27 has an extract, and I'm hoping that we will have them back on track with the Typhon Pact releases later in the year. They're fun to illustrate - particularly when the sections chosen don't happen to feature people we've seen on screen - and I am always amazed by what our talented designer Dan Bura does with them...

Hmm, I hope you guys do a Vale scene eventually. She's still one of the most important characters that we've never gotten any kind of official image of. Same goes for any of the Vanguard characters, although I think you guys have already done a couple of them.
