So back around Thanksgiving, got a black friday deal on a Blu-Ray player. Come to find it won't play my homemade DVDs on it; it brings up the menu, and then abruptly shuts down.
Other night, my nephew brought over one of his movies on a homemade DVD and to my surprise, it played.
So my question is... what could be the source of conflict between an earlier (version 1, I think?) blu-ray and homemade DVDs?
Is it the menu? His dvd didn't have a menu, it began the film when put in the player. Could it be the format? I've not been able to get the built-in Windows DVD burner to work for me because of some codec issue with me having Vista 64, but that's what was used for his movie, the built in win-dvd burner.
