Ladies: Help me find this dress!

So, let me get this straight, Jennifer Aniston is a little too old and wobbly for that dress?

Given the visible result, and the potential alternative (which is looking better in a different dress) then my answer is definitely yes.

Her diet, fitness regime or my hardness to please are really neither here nor there in that judgement, however true they may all be. ;)
Maybe I'm stupid but that link goes to a wiki page about comparative advantage in economics.

That page links to some Alice + Olivia Wrapped Goddess Dress that tries to approximate the look or something. Personally, not to my taste at all, but if you're looking for a similar style, try Googling that? I didn't really look to see if it's that similar to the original dress.

Also yes, Holdfast is a harsh critic and shows no mercy.

Ah, one of my very favorite games is "where can I find this designer [insert clothing item here] that I can actually afford?"

Here is how I hunt my prey:

1. In this case I googled "valentino dress couture collection aniston" and found that the dress is from Valentino's fall 2009 couture collection.

2. I go to style.com and find the dress: see here.

3. armed with this information, try: shopstyle.com, yoox.com, net-a-porter, neimanmarcus.com. or the looks for less. You will have to do some digging to find what you want, but it's out there somewhere. It's especially helpful that the dress is from a 2009 collection instead of 2010, there has been more time for knock-offs.

Good luck!

It's called Loose Association. ;)

It's called Genius, thank you very much. :)

Seriously, Jen is obviously still very attractive and will look more decent than most girls in any dress. But is she looking the best she could possibly look? No.

She could better trade off her looks by choosing a different dress, thus freeing another, even if slightly less attractive, girl to wear that dress, who is better suited to wear it from a physique point of view. Since Valentino Haute Couture dresses are by nature limited in number, even if the transaction is not direct, both girls benefit from the exchange of goods, rather than Jen wearing a dress that she can pull off, but not quite as well as she could pull off wearing another dress.

Hence, comparative advantage applies. Loosely, admittedly, but not quite to the thought disorder level. :D

Talking of which, that's quite enough discussion of pulling off, and Jennifer Aniston.

Also yes, Holdfast is a harsh critic and shows no mercy.

Like God. On a really bad day.
