I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is tough. I hope you got to spend some quality time together before she left.

Be extra gentle with yourself for a while, okay? There's probably stuff to keep you busy for the next little while and you'll feel you're coping okay. Thing is, you've got a whole lot of 'first (birthday, Holiday, summer, etc.) without Mom' coming up and every one is probably going to feel like you got punched in the heart. The sharpness will fade with time.

Best wishes,
Jan

Sorry to hear that friend. I know how you feel. My mom died back in 2003 from an accidental overdose (I've never believed it was accidental) of the medicine she took to treat her migraines. The anniversary is coming up soon, and I'm dreading it. But, hang in there. I survived, you will too.

I am very sorry for your loss, Buck. You have my condolences. :(

I'm so sorry. My mom is dying from Alzheimer's disease and so I know, or will know, what you are going through. God bless.

Take care, anything I say wont bring her back to you, but let your feelings out...that's really the best way...

Wish I could do more...

Buck I am so sorry for your loss.
If it helps ~ read through the 'grief' thread. Lots of empathy and help on how to handle such a tragedy. It has certainly helped me today.

Buck, I know this is small consolation at a painful time like this but at least your mother's suffering is over now. She is in a much better place. You'll see her again someday.

I lost my own mother when I was 11. She was very ill. I was of course really sad when she died but I knew her pain was done.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me, that you also may be where I am.

Co-signed. My mother passed away 6 years ago, next Tuesday. It does indeed fade over time, though you never truly forget. But what one notices over time is that instead of sorrow, you find yourself remembering them only bittersweetly and eventually, just with happiness. That final transition takes a lot of time, though, and there's no race to get there.

My condolences, again.

Oh dear. I'm very sorry to hear that, Buck Rogers.

If you need a place to vent, we're always here for you.

Oh, Buck so sorry to read this.

Know that all the love people profess here, the hugs and the prayers do find a way to your heart and help. I know from recent experience ;)

Take care and we will keep you in our Zen hugs.

I'm very sorry for your loss, BR. :( Listen to Holdfast; as painful as it is now, someday you will be smiling at happy memories, I promise.

I didn't know that, Scotty. I'm very sorry. :(
