Voyager without Chakotay I wouldn`t watch. What`s about J/C?!!! There are thousands of fans all over the world who only like Voyager because of J/C.
And I love all of the main crewmembers. There`s such a great chemistry between them.
But if I had to swap a crewmember I`d replace Harry with Geordi.
Besides I`m glad Voyager had no Troi on board. I think she`s a useless character and Marina Sirtis isn`t a geat actress.
But I really like Lwaxana Troi.
The Doctor with Phlox. That way, whenever Neelix started up with his crap, Phlox would have no problem with sedating him for the length of the episode.
Janeway I'd keep.
Chakotay I'd swap for Riker - he'd have the...eh...guts to stand up to her when she goes a little off track (Crewman Lessing locked in a cargo bay in Equinox!).
Tuvok I'd keep.
Paris I'd swap for Ro - just because I loved Ro.
Torres I'd keep.
Kim I'd swap for Uhura - he'd just look wrong in the miniskirt.
The Doctor I'd swap for Bashir - just as smart but more charming.
Neelix I'd swap for Quark - he's far more likeable.

Seven I'd swap for Jadzia Dax - smart, sassy and sexy without being in a skin tight catsuit.

The one that has appeal to me is Neelix for Quark...just because how interesting Quark is.
As for 7 Of 9 for Jadzia Dax...I would want to keep 7 and somehow acquire Jadzia.
I was thinking Kirk for Janeway...man that would be a totally diffrerent show.
I did try to think of which one I wanted to swap and couldn't decide who. Phaser to the head and forced to choose, I'd probably have to go for...hmm...eh...Neelix.

Well, I don't think Seven looks THAT good in a catsuit. She looks good in general, no doubht. However, her... assets... are simply too large for a catsuit, it looks a bit weird in my opinion. Kes, on the other hand, looked awesome in a catsuit, especially the bluish one she had shortly before "blowing up". Combined with the long, curly hairstyle...
Back on topic, I could go with swapping Neelix for the Chef too
Not sure about swapping any of the officers, since even though some of them could've been a lot better (Paris, Kim, Chakotay), I'm not sure anyone from the other series would've necessarily worked in this setting any better. Their interactions with the specific chars in their own show is a big factor in what made them interesting after all.
I agree, until towards the end when she got the funky hairdo and got all crackhead skinny.
On a side note, Ezri > Jadzia in the looks department. Probably just me, but Ezri was just so damned cute.
Lose Chakotay, add Ro Laren. Opens up all kinds of fun stuff, like watching Harry and Tom trying to write a new Doctor after Ro catches the Doc recreating Crell Moset and deletes both of them.
Also, in the "recurring nobody" department, replace Joe Carey with Reg Barclay and don't kill him 3 hours before getting the ship home.

This is probably a little off topic, but does anyone know why they got rid of Kes? I really liked her, and her developing mental powers had a lot of potential.

I'm having a hard time imagining it being any different. I mean it could only be better unless they replaced him like... the Grand Nagus or something. I mean he essentially wasn't there so replacing him with someone who was seems like a win/win.
But hell let's just go balls to the wall; Janeway with Kirk.
