Leno cracked me up...

There are times when Leno will crack me up, not a lot, but it happens. Last night was one of those times. (By the way, I was, and I am still a fan of COCO, but I do still like LENO, as it turns out)..here is what made me laugh

Here, in america, there's been this story about some dude performing circumsizions (spelling?) out of of his house without a license for extra $$$. How did the police catch him? Someone mailed in a tip!!!...

Funny

Has anyone heard whether or not Conan is going to get his own show on another network???

Aww, jeez...really?

That's so...Leno.

I know..corny...obvious...but if delivered correctly, it scores. I told four other people and got good laughs. Yes, that kind of Don Rickles kind of humor, meaning 'quick one liners' escape some...not me.

It's just a tame version of "What did the leper say to the hooker? Keep the tip." That joke has been around forever, and Leno just appropriated it like he appropriates everything else and made it safe, boring and obvious the same way he does to everything else.

Edit: I mis-typed the joke. It's been fixed. :)

I sense the idea that the joke wasn't so bad but that Jay Leno told it. (Though... I agree, not the funniest thing I've heard all day.) I hate what happened to Conan as much as everybody else but... let's try to remember his message, ya?

“All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.”

No tv deal as of yet, but he just announced a 30 city theater tour this summer with Andy and the band. I'm not sure if Max will be part of that or not.
I'm keeping my I'M WITH COCO avatar until he's back on tv.

Oh, and Leno's joke... meh... it's been done before. Although in Jay's defense, I usually find his headlines segment pretty funny.

Not a Late Night or Tonight fan but see it sometimes by default( default of my wife, that is). Best Leno joke?

"Sorry I'm late, folks, but I screwed up coming into work and took the 405. You know the reason they called it the four oh five? 'Cause it will take you 4 or 5 hours to get anywhere on it."

Anyone in LA gets the irony of that one right away...

^^ Every city has a joke like that
"Sorry I'm late, I was stuck on I-225. You know, it takes 225 minutes to get anywhere on it."
"I was stuck on I-70, as in "I was on there for 70 days!"

I don't believe Leno writes his own jokes. I just hope he didn't pay too much for that one.
