Couldn't find a discussion thread for this week's fantastic NCIS so here it is. I, for one, thought this was the best so far this season. Mark Harmon is such an underrated actor and this episode showed how damn good he could be.

I didn't know there was a new episode today otherwise I would've posted the thread. But NCIS thread activity has dropped significantly so I don't know if they're still worth doing. If you want to make threads, be my guest. :)

I didn't vote. None of the options gave me an opening.
I didn't care for this one. Frankly I'm getting tired of seeing NCIS team members skipping past the law because it turns out they don't like the victim.

I liked it. They did a good job casting the woman who played the ex mother in law when she was younger.
Jimmy's new girlfriend was pretty hot.

I think Mark Harmon is a great actor:techman:

The exchange between Gibbs and the mother in the basement was great. "Is there where you torture suspects?" "Only myself." So sad yet true.

I take it you guys are disavowing any knowledge of LA?

I found the flagship episode to be kind of boring. Every time Gibbs deals with family or a friend, it ends up the same way. I just hope they've run out of relatives now... unless his mother turns out to be a super secret spy anyway.

It was a good episode. I hate that lighting effect in their office and it seems to get worse every episode. It's time they start concluding the multiple plot threads that were established in previous seasons. Is anyone else disappointed in how they've portrayed Ziva and the team since they brought her back? I mean, she withheld important information from them, which is basically betrayal, and they take her back like nothing happened. This is the biggest thing I hate about this season. Second is Gibbs has been weakened as a character.

The Unit followed NCIS and wasn't a hit. It might be the NCIS name that's helping to carry the LA show.

Strangely, I prefer LA over the mothership show simply because it's different. Now, I still think undercover NCIS makes absolutely no sense, but oh well.

I liked this episode. Rena Sofer is always great in everything I see her in, and she just gets prettier every year. I think they need to change things up next year, though. Gibbs should be running a team and Tony should be running another. I also wouldn't be surprised if they rolled out a third NCIS within a year or two.

I read a rumor that the LA show wasn't even supposed to be NCIS (sort of like how NCIS is not called JAG: NCIS) but the network wanted the name brand recognition. Or maybe that was just in reference to the title being "NCIS Los Angeles" instead of something like "Undercover Ops" or "OSP" or whatever.

I normally let a lot of computer related twaddle in tv shows pass but NCIS:LA last week where you could this device the size of thumb drive next to any computer and it could read it it's data reguardless of security. What which bit of thin air the writers plucked the one from.

That would make some sense if it were true. I'm at a point where I don't really consider it an NCIS show but just another undercover cop show.

Personally, I couldn't get that into this week's episode of NCIS. For me it was rather disappointing.
