Should Yesterday's Enterprise have been a multi episode arc?

I'm going to say no on this one, only because it makes Commander Sela's appearance all the more jarring in Redemption. I don't believe there has been anything more mind blowing that that in all of Trek.

Put me in as another 'No' vote. I love the episode, but if it were longer it would've been a little less interesting.

I like this episode so much I have multiple copies of it.

I don't think TNG lent it self to Arc story telling the way later shows did. What was possible on Deep Space Nine and Enterprise... I dunno, I just don't see it with the TNG crew. Maybe that's just me/

This particular episode would've been a very bleak arc. It would be like making YoH from Voyager into an arc; it was so depressing, so many people were killed, and so much was destroyed that you just knew it couldn't be left that way. So, ultimately, an arc where the story is reset at the end would feel like a betrayal. We'll accept that from two part episodes at the most but not from six or nine episode arcs.

Should Yesterday's Enterprise have been a multi episode arc? I was thinking as good as it was, that a few episodes in the parallel world where Picard and crew are at war with the Klingons may have been better. Maybe they would meet Worf in battle.

No, no a thousand times no. Very few stories are made BETTER by making them LONGER.

Brevity is a wonderful thing and sadly lacking from sci-fi these days.
