At least with FedEx/Kinkos, there's at least some sort of justification for their existence. People, and often small businesses, have occasional need of printing services like that, and it can't really be done as easily online. Also works as a shipping center comparable to UPS. might be other places you could do this, but at least it's a usable service that people are looking for.
Radio Shack just doesn't seem to have any justification for existing at this point, other than the inertia of already existing and having locations in malls. There is really NOTHING they offer that isn't offered better, cheaper, or both at other stores. They are kind of a cellphone retailer, but that puts them in competition with most major wireless services that already have stores or kiosks in the same malls. They have some electronics (tvs, radios, computer stuff), but not very good selection, and pricing isn't even comparable.
Really the ONLY thing of value in there at this point is the hard-core electrical stuff (resistors, diodes, capacitors, etc) that are only of interest to electronics nerds and students. And really even then only if it's a unforseen need or blowout, as can usually get that stuff shipped online pretty fast/cheap.
Wouldn't be at ALL shocked to see Radio Shack disappear in the near future, as I can't really see how they haven't already done so. Every niche they are trying to occupy has been filled by someone providing it better, cheaper, or more conveniently, so what's really left at this point?
