Explain your user name!

My first name was Some Guy. I decided to rename myself and played off of that, with What's his face. I suppose later I'll change it again and become Whoosits or something silly.

Many, many, years ago when I first came to the internet I needed a hotmail account and everything I tried calling myself came up either already in use or with random numbers attached to it... I tried hitting the keyboard with my forehead and got to be "FWOXL" - a few weeks later my sister persuaded me to get a name that was a bit easier for her to remember.

After several tries with combinations of words that describe me (beerdrinker, hotstuff, theone and so on
frogshowingtongue.gif
) I came up with the nick I am now wearing all over the net -I am the only trekkiedane in the book!

Yeoman Randi;3864981 And here said:
"He drink whiskey, Pancho drinks the wine!" - Guess I'm old too! The old song by War is actually based on the same great hero - "Zee Ceesko Keed"

Rowan is a name I've always liked since I first heard it God knows when. Sjet is the last name of the female "protagonist" from the PC video game Homeworld. It was one of the first games I ever played and continues to be a favourite of mine.

With very few exceptions, Rowan Sjet is the name I will use to identify myself on the internet.

Ptrope (one syllable, pronounced "trope") was originally created as the name of my art studio (or "pstudio" ;) ). I wanted something that had a certain visual presence, that felt a certain way to say aloud, and I like psilent consonants, as in "psychiatry" and "pterodactyl." Plus, a trope is a play on words, and "ptrope" is something of a visual play on words. And because it's a wholly-created word, I don't usually have to worry about it being unavailable as a username :D.

So there you have it: Ptrope (not "pee-trope!" :scream: )

I usually go by the name of Hugh_Jackman's_Boxers in other forums but I wanted to keep it Star Trek related here so I picked the hottest Trekker ever and chose to be his tights instead of boxers because those damn tights make me lol whenever I see them all rolled up above the boots.

I was looking through the Oxford Dictionary of First Names to kill time between classes when I was in college, and scribbled down a few names that I thought were really neat, many of them Gaelic.

Ruaidhri means "red king". Red is my favorite color.

When I was first registering with AOL back in '96, the first name I wanted to use was too long, a name from history, so I went back to the list of names I'd taken down and picked the one I liked the best. Any time I register somewhere on the internet I either use Ruaidhri or Ruaidhri75.

Well, my original user name Fire was based on scenes of Picard saying Fire every time he went into battle. ;)

My next user name Tachyon Shield was simply because it sounded Treklike.

My current user name I Am Legend is self explanatory. I am legendary. :p

My next user name which I have already chosen but cannot change for at least another 6 months shall remain a secret.

I was originally CalifornianStrawberries, I can't remember why though. I just needed a username to sign up with and that was the first one I thought of! When username changes were first available here I shortened it to Cali as CalifornianStrawberries is too long to keep typing out. Plus a lot of people just called me Cali anyway.

Depsite the name, I do not live in nor have I ever been to California.

My screen name has always been self-explanatory and simple.

I'm Eddie. I'm cool. I was born in '74.

Well. At least two of those are true.

My birthdate is a topic of debate since the original hospital went up in flames.:shifty:

Yeah, yeah, yeah...rub it in. :vulcan:

I'm still having menu/icon issues accessing my folders. My buddy who'll troubleshoot it for free won't get back from a family reunion trip for a few more days. Sorry.:)
