Any comments on the Semin v. Boyle debacle? Semin's hit was bad enough, but Boyle's retaliation was just plain dirty. He shouldn't have gotten out of it with a mere 2 minute penatly.

What a night for Canada! We demolish Russia in hockey, win bronze in speed skating, and go 1-2 in women's bobsleigh!

Yep. We crossed the line in 3rd, but the Koreans (who were in 1st) got disqualified for impeding the Chinese (2nd) at one point. Boy was that coach pissed off when the refs were talking to him.
It ended up with China getting gold, Canada getting silver, and the US (who fell back early on in the race) being bumped up to bronze.
Luongo ain't new...and he's one of the best goalies in the NHL.
But I think that game was all Canada's offense tonight. Luongo didn't do anything too spectacular in net. And how annoying was it when the announcers at the end commented how Ovechkin had a long bus ride home but Crosby must be feeling good about himself after tonight? Did he even do anything? I mean, I like Crosby, but let's give credit to players like Getzlaf, Morrow, Perry and Boyle for tonight.
Oh my God, NBC might have just finally entered the 21st Century. Either that or this is just a way for the freaking network to get back into some good graces. I say too fucking late for that.

Now, how about that Gold Medal game? Right now that schedule is taped delayed Cross Country skiing followed by the Hockey game 3 hours later at 3:00 PST, tape delayed. If that is still the schedule on Sunday what is happening on Friday will not matter one bit. It might actually piss more people off moreso than what is going on already.
