Watched the last episode last night. There was a bit of luck involved, but yeah, Jet and Cord had a good leg ("Oh my gravy"). Kind of bummed to see the grandma/grandaughter team go, but they never really raced hard. They just seemed to be in it for the sightseeing.

The grandma/granddaughter really did seem that way. They just didn't try hard enough. Like when they decided to take that last bus, instead of first exploring their other options like the cowboys and the other two teams did. Like, wouldn't you even check to see if you can find something better? They just seemed so content with taking last place.

Sorry I missed putting up a thread this past Sunday! My mother was in town this weekend, spent it with her, showing her around, so I wasn't here to put it up. I'll have a new one up next Sunday.

Yeah, I agree, they had no drive. Too bad, because there was really no drama in the race for not-last, which can really help an episode where one team jumps way ahead.

Man the cowboys are dumb. But then they make a living get the crap knocked out of you by a mad bull...

Painting the wrong house was funny as hell, the two workers even critiqued them.

I don't think they are to dumb, they are racing a good race.

^ Jet and Corb, I believe. And I agree, they've been fun to watch and I like the way they've raced.

I too like the Cowboys. They just seem like fun loving guys who are just having an awesome time. Of course it helps when one of the roadblocks is doing what they probably do every single day of their lives, and I kind of chuckled when he missed it the first time. And they call themselves Cowboys? ;)

Anyway, I hope they win.

Okay based on the first episode (when that post was made) - they were dumb but since then they turned around and have done great. They do seem like two great guys who are having fun though.

Does anyone else kind of get the feeling that the cowboys probably don't wear those Stetsons all that often in real life, but the network is making them wear them all the damn time on the race?

Yep, contestants are strongly encouraged to wear something defining throughout the race to help viewers know who is who.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they did wear them fairly often "in real life." I've met Albertans from the city who seem to have Stetsons permanently glued to their heads, so I wouldn't put it past a couple of rural Texans.

We refer to Alberta as "Canada's Texas" for a reason. ;)

That's a little disconcerting, since one of my dream jobs would mean I'd have to move to Edmonton.

^ I spent a few days in Edmonton a month ago. That's about as much time as I'd like to stay there at a stretch, myself. ;)

Anyway, we're a bit off-topic, so any bets on who's out after tomorrow night?

I wouldn't be surprised to see the cops go next. At the start of the season I figured they'd be a strong team, but they've struggled in every leg so far.

Well the cops found their game and the cowboys lost theirs.

In the end it didn't matter as it was a non-elimination round.
