They were sloppy the whole game. Bad turnovers led to a lot of USA's best scoring opportunities. If Canada had their heads in the game defensively (and had gone with Luongo or Fleury), things could have been a lot different.Not really dudeKinda sums up the whole game.

And so does Russia so the earliest we could ever play them would be semis.
Not anymore. The loss means we have to play a qualification game against Germany, then the winner plays a quarterfinal game against the 3rd-ranked team, which is Russia. And yeah, after posting I realized that we pretty much have to face Russia now if we're to make the semis. Damn.

Fleury hasn't had a very good season this year, but he's far better in clutch games than Lu. Still, I'd say Luongo is team Canada's safest choice.
Fleury isnt even close to Luongo. And Brodeur doesn't have it anymore which is why I was shocked they didn't go with Luongo today.
I wonder if they go with him from now on though.

Well when your stuck in FL for years, taking the most shots against in the league, you aren't winning a cup.
Even in VAN he takes a crapload of shots.
Also Fleury is THIRD goalie for Canada. So Stevie Y and I agree.

Now I know a little more about Ice Hockey than I did earlier. Some of those hits were good. Heck here in Australia we had better coverage than NBC (from I hear online).
Well that's the thing. It wasn't even on NBC here. It was on MSNBC, one of NBC/Universal's network channels.
