Klingon D4 cruiser

Are there too many weapon emplacements on this older Klingon battlecruiser design meant to appear in Enterprise?

Ya- I think so. At least not so many advanced weapons. But then again, Entperise was ripe with too many advanced items compared to TOS-TMP-TNG and beyond...

It was still an Oooooookay show though...

Not in my opinion. deg's D4 is full of retro Klingon goodness (or badness, depending on your POV ). (And don't forget, this isn't deg's design--this is his model of John Eaves' design for a Star Trek: Enterprise-era Klingon battlecruiser. A crying shame that the movie-era D7 was seen onscreen instead.)

Thanks for your interest/comment/question in regard to my work, Malleus.

As the Prof shares, the D4 (although John never called it that, it got that loose non-canon designation from Rob (Bonchune), was indeed designed by John Eaves, However, the weapons compliment (in addition to much of the smaller detailing) on my take of John's design is fully my call (which John loves BTW), as my Viking descent feels that being Klingons (aka Vikings in Space) all their ships are conspicuously and errantly lacking in tactical weapons placement and amount thereof for a space-faring warrior race.

Thus, in my TOS.5 take of the Star Trek universe, that gross and weapons-pansy oversight has been rightly rectified. :D

So to answer your Q, in my TOS.5 universe, no, she has just the right amount of tactically placed weapon arrays to be a full-on 360º threat, just as a Klingon battle-wagon should be, IMO.

Thanks for clearing some things up.
