Is anyone still playing this game ??? i got it when it first came out and have been playing it on and off ever since ?? Can u still play the game online ?? anyone here know how ?

I'm not sure you can play it online any more. The game's a classic for sure though. I play it when I'm home from uni sometimes.

I still play this game regularly. I have 2 computers on my desk, one old XP system and my newer system with Windows 7. I was just playing the game on my xp system last night. I can honestly say I load it up at least once a week. I love that game and really wish someone would do an updated version.

Does anyone else use any of the mods for the game? I used the XP patch to get it running well on my xp system, and I also have a mod that increases the population sizes of all planets so that I can get more out of all my systems (as can all the other factions to keep it "fair")

Does that mean you haven't tried the Ultimate Dominion Mod?Do, ASAP.

as far as I remember:
- Ferengi replaced by Dominion

- New minors (Breen for example), new structures
- You can build minor ships now if you member tham!
- increases map size drastically (still has the regular map sizes available)
- more and many new ships (Like Excelsior, Soyuz, Steamrunner, Akira and many more) all old models redone
- close to canon (very few new non-canon ships)
- MANY errors and bugs corrected (like Terraforming bug, Fed morale, Phaser color)
- All kinds of graphics enhancements
- AI builds larger fleets
- I think the battles last a bit longer

I play every once in a while...starting myself off at the top of the tech tree and the other at the bottom...just for time and fun's sake, of course.
