SMALLVILLE Kandor Arc Resolution Theory

I know Smallville has a lot of critics, many disappointed with the direction of the show or reinterpretation of classic Superman characters or events.

Myself, I still really like the series. In particular, I have found season nine has really rejuvenated my interest and enjoyment of the show. I am not one of those viewers who cry "foul" every time the writers/producers introduce a DC character or concept with a decidedly Smallville-spin. I just view Smallville as it's own seperate-from-the-comics-continuity-univers where anything can happen. Heck, maybe in this universe, Clark never dons the CAPE.... who knows....

Anyway, I was thinking about how the show's writers have attempted to fold more classic Superman ideas into the show and it got me wondering how the current Zod/Kandorian storyline will be resolved.....

... and then it just hit me!!! And maybe it is obvious to everyone else who has been watching.....

Season nine or the opening of season ten will see the creation of the BOTTLE CITY OF KANDOR. Clark will somehow capture the Kandorians, shrink/transform them and place them into the Bottle City and keep them at the Fortress.

That is how it should happen...what sucks is not having Kara as part of the story with the Kandorians.

I think the writers will hit us with a major curve ball toward the end...I am hoping season 10 will be the year of Superman...but I am not holding my breath.

Good idea. But instead of a city, it will probably be that big ass tower the Kandorians are working on that will be miniaturized.

Too bad there aren't any planned James Marsters appearances coming, since the shrinking technology originally belonged to Brainiac.

Maybe they can introduce Ray Palmer to shrink the Kandorians?

I thought Beaniac created the bottle city? Anyway, I still like Smallville and I like how they incorperate continuity. I think they have changed things,but not so dramaticly that it can't be reconciled somehow. He will don the cape eventually. I'm almost thinking Lex will return towards the end and somehow Lex will forget Clark's secret and maybe Lois will forget who Clark is al together and Perry White has to show up eventually. Chloe will die or be incorperated into Watchtower somehow. I imagine Clark will be left as the only one who remembers anything. Smallville will leave off where we see Clark start off in the first Superman movie

Brainiac did indeed create the bottle city of Kandor and used his technology to shrink the Kandorians which has been in Geoff Johns run been retconned into a city on one of Krypton's moons. The problem with this idea (which is good) is that Brainiac in Smallville is a Kryptonian invention and the Kandorians been featured clones of the real ones that are no doubt trapped in the Phantom Zone (well at least General Zod is). I have a feeling that after Absolute Justice mentioned Apokolips that the Kandor arc is going to be wrapped up pretty soon and start paving the way for the coming of Darkseid. I agree that not having Kara around for this arc has hurt it as well but Laura has been busy in the past year or so. Besides which she would have been able to idenitfy the Kandorians as clones from the start.
