Sick leave ... bah, don't even get me started.
On the other side of the coin, management doesn't like it when people call in sick, as evidenced by my boss who's cracking down on people who have or have had "absenteeism" issues. I admit my health has improved significantly, and I've managed my sick leave better. However, there are still quite a few people in my department who are "out sick" on Mondays and/or Fridays. Hmmm, see a pattern here? There are two employees in particular who have historical records of being out sick from a few days to a whole week at a time. Granted, they might have valid medical reasons, but the others certainly don't.
