Dr Who concept designs online

What's with the egyptian hieroglyph of the TARDIS in series 2? I don't remember any visits to Egypt. Apparently, it was for "Love and Monsters."

It's in the slide show about ten minutes in when the formative LINDA first meets.

Have to say I love this version of a Cyberman way more than what we actually got...

I could imagine that version cyberman fitting come not long before the version seen in The Tenth Planet.
Same here which is why I much prefer that version to what we got. Pity.

I like the way the Cyberman looks almost in terror, as if there's a fragment of their original personality remaining that understands the horror of what they've become. So much better than big clanking robots!

There's some really cool stuff...I'd like to buy a replica of the Master's ring. I remember watching the audio commentary for "The Last of the Time Lords" and Julie Gardner going on about not getting the prop of the Master's ring. I'd like to have it. Just for the Gallifreyan designs on it.

It is quite cool, but where do the rest of the rooms go?

I'm thinking that they are contained in those spheres that are linked in an "orbit" around the main TARDIS compartments. Since everything is transdimensional, perhaps you step into a door in the main compartment and emerge, transported, into the rooms within those spheres or the larger sphere below the TARDIS control room. It would also make it easier to jettison those rooms as has been done by several previous Doctors.

I find it kind of interesting that there's one classic cross-sections there-the Dalek shuttle from Rememberance of the Daleks.

Were these cross-sections intended for an incredible cross-sections book that never materialized?
