Special weapons Dalek

Mr. Sin

Commander
Okay, we've had supreme Daleks, Imperial guards, Dalek/human hybrids, Emperors, Daleks with flamethrowers, two exterminators etc.

But one thing the new series has yet to do is give us an updated special weapons Dalek :)

Appearing in Rememberance of the Daleks, the prop wasn't of the best quality, but had a 'worn' look that was pretty cool.

Also, according to Who apocrypha, the Dalek mutant inside is insane and referred to as the Abomination. Sounds familiar...

In last months Sci Fi Now magazine, they had a editorial piece on something called "The Dark Dimension" which would have been for the 30th Anniversary included were some funky looking Daleks designed for it:

I liked that, it made it look "grizzled" as much as a Dalek could.

It's funny, I've come to not mind the poor Dalek props because it gives the old school Daleks an interesting sense of realness. Those wobbles and stutters lend a weird kind of verite as things have become so clean and smooth these days.

It did make it stand out (apart from the awfully large weapon up front of course).

It's top made it look like a WWI/WWII Tommy as well, especially ironic given the Nazi overtones they were conceived with in Genesis of the Daleks.
