Get ready for "American Psycho: The Musical"!

Only Disapproving Tommy Lee can properly express my reaction:

That be great if Christian Bale would reprise the role of Patrick Bateman for the stage. He could totally do it. Remember Newsies?

"I hate every ape I see, from chimpan-A to chimpanzee!" There need to be more musicals made from strange movies/novels.

Upon viewing the movie, I thought "What the hell?"

That's how i felt about it the first time i watched it. Upon subsequent viewings i realized just how funny this movie is. It really is a black comedy....the scene with Bateman and his cronies showing off their business cards...omg! It's hilarious.

Give it another try and don't view it as a horror/slash pic, but as a black comedy. It really works as one.

However, i don't see it working as a musical.

Actually, there seems to be a growing number of musicals within the last ten years to be adapted from oddball movies. The Producers, Addams Family, Young Frakenstein, Shrek, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Legally Blonde, among others.

Anyone who thought it was a "horror movie" completely misunderstood it.
Also, best book I've ever read.

The question is, will this musical be as good as Oh Africa, Brave Africa? That was a laugh riot

Trust me, once I got to the business card comparison scene, my face looked like this :wtf: as well as the scene in the bedroom with the two women.

I have no desire to ever watch that movie again.

American Psycho is a wonderfully funny movie, and could make a great musical. Music is already pretty heavily embedded (alongside axes...) in various scenes. I can see it working.

Woah. Wait. There's a Legally Blonde MUSICAL?! Like, I totally need see this! And what on earth do they rhyme with Ammonium Thioglycolate? :D

"Not quite blonde are we? You're more dirty blonde. I'm gonna call you Sabrina. I'm Paul Allen."
 Literally everything Bateman says in the both the movie and book is hilarious IMO.

And the Phil Collins- Sussudio scene? Brilliant!
"Sabrina, don't just stare at it. Eat it!"

If this actually happens, I will walk to New York to see it if I have to. One of my favorite movies.
