Starfleet Corps of Engineers Books

When Diamond Previews stopped listing Star Trek books, it is difficult to keep up on some series. Have there been any TPBs of Star Trek: Star Fleet Corps of Engineers since wounds? They were mentioned in the Destiny trilogy when they made a planet disappear to hide it from The Borg.

We've got two coming out this year, I believe, "Out of the Cocoon" and "What's Past", which is the good news. The bad news is they're replacing two of the Trek XI books that were pulled, so it's a bittersweet return for our engineer friends.

I have been able to find some of the early ones, they were MMPB, and a few of the recent ones (TPB). But how can I fill in my gaps?

Or do I really need to? I am thinking of trying to get them all before reading any of them. I may have to get some as ebooks, I guess.

I'd like to know this as well, not having read any SCE before, either the ebooks or the published ones. Will I be able to pick up the new ones and know what's going on?

Yes, you can pick up any SCE/COE book and know what's happening. I'm a firm believer in the maxim that every story is someone's first (which is why, even in this write-for-the-trade era of comic books, I always make sure there's some catching-up for new readers in every issue of the Farscape comic), so I endeavored to make sure each eBook could be someone's first without confusion ensuing.

It's worth pointing out that the What's Past stories are especially very standalone, since they all take place before the continuity of the main series.

Thanks very much, in that case I'll look forward to trying them this summer :techman:

^It is also worth pointing out that The Future Begins doesn't actually feature any of the main S.C.E. characters. I'm still amazed that it got commissioned at all.

^ We didn't even bother setting ours in the same time frame as that of the main characters. Suck it, 24th century!
