Star Trek Motion Comic

The animation is excellent, although I could have done without the watercolor effect; I don't think it really added anything. The dialogue was mediocre and the word balloons could have used some borders. And it was certainly a very interesting idea for a crossover. :rommie:

Once they started saying "It could be a distress signal or a warning to stay away", I knew where they were going.

Nice Job! I agree that the watercolor effect should be toned down or just switch to illustrations.

There was a short story in one of the old Star Trek compilation novels "Tales of a Strange World" or something like that back in the early-mid 80's, that had an Alien getting on to the Enterprise in a similar manner. So as not to spoil the ending if they're going to do a similar take on the story:
After realizing it has concentrated acid for blood (and I think being impervious to phaser fire), Spock successfully lures the Alien into the ship's Olympic-size swimming pool (large amounts of water being able to dilute the acid), where they manage to start cutting it up with conventional edged weapons without damaging the hull of the ship. Pretty inventive solution, I think.

It's called The Watchmen the motion comic, available on DVD. I like it. It basicly brings the comicbook art to life with limited motion, but if you are a fan of the comic it's not to miss.

It was on DISH pay-per-view the week before THE WATCHMEN was in the theaters. They ran it in three two-part showings, one subsequent nights. It was vastly superior, IMO, to the movie version.
