Star Trek TOS Movies (1-6) should I buy the DVDs seperately or bundled

extent

Im not sure if this is the right section-but I was wanting to buy all of the TOS 6 Star Trek movies on dvd-I havent used dvdcompare yet to find out if anything is missing from the latest 1-6 set compared to whats was released before (as a set or seperately), but im slightly disappointed that the cast (esp Shatner) doesnt seem to have a live commentary on any of the movies? I thought that wouldve been a great extra. Whats your opinion on what versions to get if you were after all of the TOS movies on dvd? thanks for any recommendations on what versions to look out for

Shatner was on the earlier two-disc sets of ST IV and ST V. There wasn't room on the latest DVD sets to keep the old commentaries and include the new ones.

Get the Blu-Rays instead - both sets of commentaries are there, and if you buy the bundled box set you get the Whoopi Goldberg-hosted bonus disc, "The Captains' Summit", interviewing Shatner, Nimoy, Stewart and Frakes.

that might just be one of my only reasons to buy a blu ray player- no widescreen tv setup yet! ;) the players are definately alot cheaper now so will think about getting one. would b interested to know if users believe the extras are worth it or not, i thought commentary from the original members would surely be the best to get. thanks
