Anybody Up For A Line By Line Of The Orginal Series?

I thought I would bring this topic up. Would anybody like to do a line by line of the episodes of The Orginal Series? I know on the other boards on this site such as the movie boards and Star Trek XI boards, they did line by lines of the movies. I thought it would be fun to do one on all the episodes from this tv series. I dont know if it has been done before, but I think it would be cool. So what is everybodies thoughts on this? I will make a poll and everybody can vote if the want to or not, and we can go from there. If we agree to do one, there will be a separte thread for that. This thread is to discuss your oppions on it.

Please don't get me wrong, but I figure this may be a good moment to ask this: What exactly is the attraction with those line-by-line games anyway? I can't really see the fun in it. I mean, is it merely to boost one's post count? In the past I participated in similarly pointless games here, like the hurt/heal games; so it's not like I condemn the very idea of something like that. But at least I can see how that was funny and somewhat exciting. Even some good dicussion took part in these threads. But what's exciting about the line-by-line games? Are you just going to a transcript site and copy/paste the proper line? Or do people really know some episodes by heart?

KIRKSPOCKTOSFAN: The line by line games are something that Cove Tom runs. He has one going now in the Voyager forum i believe. You should speak with him before starting up another one. It is his gig, so to speak.

As for participating in these, the first and only one I've done so far is the JJTrek movie one. I really enjoyed doing it. I can't really say what the attraction was for me, other than forcing my swiss cheese brain to actually work for a change. Stuff like that is recommended by just about every doctor these days...puzzles, sodokus (sp?) etc....to keep minds active when they are retarded like mine is. But i really did enjoy doing that one a LOT!

Okay, thanks! Maybe I should send him a pm and see I he wouldnt mind doing one over in this theard. Or I can ask him if he wouldnt mind starting one up over in this thread after the one in Voyager is done, as request. Do you think he would go for that? I really enjoyed the line by line of Star Trek XI and cant wait until the next movie to come and do that one.Anyways I would love to particapte in one for TOS as its my favorite show. I got most of the episodes remberized just like Star Trek XI, because I watch them all the time.

No, the line by line is not simply to boost your post count, thats not the point at all. The line by line is just for fun, kind of like a memory game but different. I join on one in the Star Trek XI board, and actually enjoyed it. It was like watching the movie. I'm sure there are some people who might remmber some if not all the episodes line by line. And no we dont' transcript the proper lines from other sites etc.. Its pretty much done from memory, or if your not sure about the line just watch the episode/movie, it helps out alot. Anyways, its just like your watching the show or movie, use your imangnation.You can join in the line by line if you want or you dont have to, its up to you. Even reading it and see how much you remmber is even fun. Sure there will be lines you might not always get right, but there is always other people that who might. As I said before its just for fun, thats all.
