Chance takes on protection duty of an airplane passenger. As the plane catches fire, he puts it upon himself to save everyone else on board.

Another interesting high concept episode. I'm enjoying the series for superfluous fun. I do wonder how long they can keep going with these ingenious little situations though. In that respect it reminds me of the first season of "Good Versus Evil" anybody else watch that show? So hilarious.

Pretty good second outing.

- I like the way Chance tried to give that stewardess/saboteur a chance (ha!). Looks like he's got a "past" like hers. I'm interested in knowing more about that.

- Speaking of that stewardess, I spent a few minutes trying to remember where I saw her before and why the name "Courtney Ford" rang a bell. Then I realized that she's Brandon Routh's wife.

- I got a kick out of the suggestion that they take the train home.

Above Average. I'm surprised that I got as much as I did out of what was supposed to be a forgetable action show.

By the way, who exactly was this woman they were trying to protect? I got that she's some sort of skeleton key/hacker who can bring down the information age, but I didn't catch everyting Gaeta said.

Fox is moving the next Human Target because the State of the Union Address is going to be on Wednesday. So Human Target will be on Tuesday at 9 p.m. next week.

Good lord, this would be the third episode to be on a third night, yes? I haven't watched this (yet, or possibly will never...), but they keep this up, I can see ratings nose diving and the show getting canned...with FOX likely not thinking the constant moves (or preemptions) taking a part...

Gaeta was in this, and Zelenka from Stargate Atlantis.

Decent episode, but they need to give Guerrero a bigger role, he is the best thing in the show.

I still can't take Mark Valley serious. Even "humorously serious."

Why, because he's just some generic blond? Oops, wait, wrong thread. ;)

I thought this episode was average. It was able to keep me interested, but just barely. Still, I am interested in learning his backstory since I never read the comic.

It'll be on after Idol, so you should take that as a plus, not a minus. The rerun of the pilot Tueday night netted 9.17 million viewers, and last night's ep garnered 10.42 million (following Wed Amer Idol) .

Absolutely! I love how he can make thugs of any size give up and go home with just a quiet word and a calm look.

Indeed. But I think sometime soon we need to see him show just why everyone is so afraid of him, so he doesn't come off looking like a paper tiger. Somebody needs to call his bluff--and find out what a bad idea that is.

Hmmm, perhaps not.
On The Middleman, we never actually saw Noser play his guitar or perform ventriloquism, yet he was the acknowledged master.
It'd be so cool if they could go the entire run of the series without Guerrero ever lifting a finger.

Another good episode. This show is a lot of fun. Like an 80s action show but better. Nice to see Gaeta.

A slight drop from the pilot, mostly for lack of Tricia Helfer, but overall pretty cool. The plane flip was sweet, not having passengers act retarded was unique, the female villain was decent and Chi got to slap some guy around. I almost don't care about the plot in so far as it sets up the character interactions, fight scenes and stunts ... so, again, 80s action comedy thing.

Also like the opening and closing segments showing he has adventures in between the episodes we see. Fun show.

I think he was apologizing to Hoshi and the old man.

Two for two so far. This could become my favorite show not titled Caprica or Doctor Who. It's a great throwback to the action shows of old. I really hope they don't dog it down in backstory and arcs. This series does not need it. The series needs to be a "damsel/guy in distress" every week show and Chance comes in and saves the day with his team. No more story is needed for something like this. (Of course bits and pieces of his background are fine since the questions are being raised, but we don't need a 5-episode arc of him looking for his lost son or something.)

Jackie Earle Haley has a great character to work with. Last week I was a little concerned he was basically just playing Rorschach without the mask, but this week he moved away from that. I agree with those who say he should stay a mystery - that's what makes the character fun. Whenever we've had the "real story" behind a character like this revealed, whether it Number One in The Prisoner, or Higgins in Magnum PI, it always seems to ruin it a bit for me. We never learned in the original Mission Impossible why Phelps or any of his team got involved with the IMF, and the show was better for it because it allowed the characters to remain a clean slate for whatever demands of a particular episode that week. Chance and Guerrero should remain blank slates - to a degree - as well.

Chi McBride was great in Pushing Daisies and I'm glad to see he's not just the M figure, giving orders and complaining. If they get him involved in the action more (and competently as we saw this week) that'll be a nice change of pace.

I liked how Rerun (what a title!) played around with expectations. Everyone expected that guy who got shot to be the hacker. I expected either the air marshall or the pilot to be the bad guy. They handled the demise of the real bad guy quite well -- if she'd been treated the same way as the assassin on the train last week it would have felt wrong. Part of me hopes - since this is a fantasy series, after all - that she had a parachute on under her coat and she returns later as sort of a Catwoman to Chance's Batman.

Great stuff. As long as they keep the momentum, I'm watching this show for the duration.

Alex
