If it is Monday, then it is time for another new episode of Chuck!

When he's mistaken for a super-spy, Awesome realizes his fate is in Chuck's hands. Angie Harmon and Brandon Routh guest star.

Last episode was great. The poll results were overwhelming on the Awesome side. It was a great idea to get last Sunday's premiere/transitional episode out of the way quickly and follow it up with 2 more episodes before it had a chance to settle in and dampen fans' enthusiasm for the show. Here's hoping tonight's episode keeps this season's rise of greatness going. See you all after Chuck and Heroes airs here on the west coast.

ETA: And I do find it ironic to see Bryce Larkin in the ad for that new White Collar tv show in the top right of this thread.

I move that Monday officially be renamed Chuckday. All in favor?

Chuck me!

I already love the title!

Re: Chuck -3x04 -"Chuck vs. Operation Awesome"-Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

It was all right. Mostly it served to introduce Superman, who I am obviously not sure about. The Fight Club thing was weird, but I liked how Morgan ended up handling it at the end.

I do like how Chuck has evolved and become much more comfortable in his spy role, but at the same time I love how he is still very much tied to his family and friends. They are something that is going to make it nearly impossible for him to ever have a complete transformation.

Re: Chuck -3x04 -"Chuck vs. Operation Awesome"-Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

Great episode! And it wasn't any coincidence the usual Chuck/Sarah pining was nonexistent. Chuck is really at its best when it embraces its goofy, light-hearted humor.

Plus Awesome lived up to his name.

"Chuck, you killed Julius!" :guffaw:

It was a bear! :D

Re: Chuck -3x04 -"Chuck vs. Operation Awesome"-Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

This makes it two Awesome! grades in a row!

Great stuff... And the Routh character is interesting. Looks like he'll be the new Bryce character - Or he is a VERY deep cover agent for the Ring.

Re: Chuck -3x04 -"Chuck vs. Operation Awesome"-Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

Routh(well with his American impression) sounds a lot like Zachary Quinto... It's kinda creepy since Chuck is right before Heroes.

Re: Chuck -3x04 -"Chuck vs. Operation Awesome"-Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

A thoroughly Awesome episode imo. I was entertained for the entire hour. The pacing was on the money, not too much of any one thing. The only ones who got short shifted were Ellie and Big Mike. The Buy More crew was at it again. Love their cage matches (like Thunderdome last season, or Anna's smackdown of Michael Strahan).

I feel like next week is last season redux with the appearance of Kristen Kreuk being even more unwelcome by me than Nicole Ritchie was. (luckily, Ritchie did not turn out bad, to her credit) The show's run of Awesome! ratings may be over for a while until she is gone. Please, let her part be small, let her part be small, let her part be small...

wouldn't it be interesting if that wedding ring Shaw put on, if his wife was Kristen Kreuk's character?? She just can't get enough of Supes.

Re: Chuck -3x04 -"Chuck vs. Operation Awesome"-Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

I want to say awesome, but it's not even that. It's legen -- wait for it -- dary!

Re: Chuck -3x04 -"Chuck vs. Operation Awesome"-Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

I'm gonna give it a Big Mike. I think it was a little more complicated than it had to be.

Re: Chuck -3x04 -"Chuck vs. Operation Awesome"-Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

Routh(well with his American impression)

American... impression?????

:guffaw: I was wondering the same thing. The guy's Wiki entry says he was raised in Iowa before moving to Los Angeles with no mention of living abroad.

Yeah, that had me scratching my head.

I gave the episode a Big Mike. There was just a little something that held it back from being awesome but I just can't put my finger on it.

Great episode, there was just one thing missing though, after Ellie takes Casey's wine:

Chuck (whispering): "Devon's cover story. You were drunk, he spend the day getting you out of jail."

Casey looks annoyed.

Chuck (whispering): "You also soiled and exposed yourself."

Casey looks a wide-eyed outraged disbelief.

Chuck (smirking, whispering): "Life of a spy."

Casey glares at Chuck.

I loved it. Thought it was the best of the season so far, and one of the best overall too. Even though the clip of Chuck kicking Lester in the face was played over and over in the promos, I still found it hilarious in the episode. Awesome's utter failure to sell Ellie on his cover story was great too. I was surprised to find that I like Brandon Routh's character so far, and I'm interested to see where this is going. All around, it's definitely another winner.

Nicely done. Awesome makes a great foil for Chuck even if the humor demands that Awesome be portrayed as unrealistically stupid. Has he been living in a cave not to know that the throat-chop sign means SHUT UP not AND THEN SAY YOU CUT OFF THE BEAR'S HEAD? :rommie:

American... impression?????

Wow no shit? I always thought he was Australian

Really? Why? He doesn't sound to me like he's surpressing an accent of any kind. That's usually how they give themselves away (like the guy who played the older brother on Prison Break.)
