Starting to get Lost - cos people keep telling me to

^
I may never forgive the fellow TBBS staffer who wrecked the S3 finale for me. :p

Lost is one of the very few shows for which I actively avoid spoilers. It's paid off many, many times over.

House Of The Rising Sun - not bad, but not enough mystery. Except for one real big mystery- what the fuck was going on with Dominic Monaghan's accent in this episode? It's all over the map!

You're only on House of the Rising Sun??? Get crackin'.

Trying to make it last (on account of not knowing when I'll get the next season - hm, which means we better bloody find out what the monster in the forest is in this first season!), and also the wife and I are both watching it, so have to watch when we're both in and paying attention to the TV...

Well, there's what it is, and then there's what it is. The one is revealed fairly early. The latter is still a bit in the air.

The Moth - pretty good; Locke continues to be good, and Monaghan's wandering accent from the previous episode (and this one) can be explained by his having seen the word "Manchester" in the script and decided to try (and fail) to shift the accent vaguely in that direction...

Lonemagpie, please keep posting. I wish I could forget the entire series and experience the ride again fresh from the start. Since I can't, it's fun seeing a new fan's initial reactions to the episodes.

Will do - we've been watching Life On Mars this week, but hopefully will watch the next Lost episode tonight.

Right, back on the season 1 marathon with Confidence Man. Nice to see something of *why* Sawyer's such an arse, but, he's still an arse... Kate should have better taste. Saiyid, however, continues to be made of Win - easily my favourite character still, along with Locke and Kate. Though Kate's dalliance with Sawyer makes me think she's losing IQ points by the day. Strange that it's only been two weeks since they arrived on the island too (this being episode 8).

Oh, yes. Sayid is definitely made of win and awesome.

He has lots of "interesting" things to do later on.

Heh - I'd just said to the wife after Jack had chickened out of knocking some answers out of Sawyer "if it was me I'd start cutting till he talked" - then five minutes later, lo and behold, "I thought you were in communications," "Some of my training was in getting the enemy to communicate..."

Though I'd probably be worse, cos it'd occur to me to kill Sawyer afterwards, and thus also solve the food problem... Though, personally, I'd be eating the boars.

Oh, that Sayid... :guffaw:

And so it begins... ;)

I hope you enjoy the show, so long as season 6 adequately answers the remaining mysteries then the show will be well worth the ride. More than any other show this is the one that I find is consistently able to surprise me with plot twists I did not see coming, and there is no way I could possibly have guessed where the show currently is all the way back in the beginning.

Walkabout was the episode that sold me on the show, and Locke is one of my favourite TV characters of all time, right up there with Garak, Omar, Niles and a few others. In fact, Lost has two of my favourite TV characters, but the other one doesn't show up until later so I wont mention who it is.
