Re: The Book of Eli (Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman) Grading & Discuss
When the librarian/publisher places the Book between the Torah and Qur'an in the library the Bible then reverts to just a book. Until that moment God and the hope for civilization being restored was represented by Christianity alone. Even at the end it appears as if Solara is going back out on a walk as an apostle as from what we have seen she is in no way equipped to survive out in the wilderness alone as the walker did for 30 years since the war.
Ok then, very early we see the cross on the Book and that is how the villian finds out that the walker has the prize he had been seeking. As the walker and his young charge approach the last guard across the bay he goes as far to name the specific version of the Book he carries and by now the audience knows the walker had supernatural protection all alongIt's a grading and discussion thread, I thought the general rule was that it was expected in these threads?I guess spoiler rules don't apply to this threadYou mean the bit at the end where they have a Torah and a Qur'an and other books on the shelf?![]()
