Your Dream Car?

I have always driven cars I didn't want and could barely afford...like 81 Pontiac Catalina, 95 Mazda Protegé, 2000 Chevy Malibu, 93 Chevy Lumina & my current 93 Ford Thunderbird...all got me to where I needed to go and I am greatful...but I really want this...

2010 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

My dream car...and at a base price of $198,000...I will keep dreaming.

& I also like the new Saleen s5s Raptor.

My dream modern car is a 2-door Yaris. My dream car of all time is a 1971-1975 Super Beetle.

95 Mazda Protegé

This is what I currently drive. Considering the less-than-minimal amount of maintenance I've engaged in, the fact that it's still on the road is sort of amazing, and a testament to the totally decent quality of these cars.

I wrecked mine...I didn't mind it too much but it wasn't what I wanted in 1999.

I got mine in 99 after a crazy woman in a Jeep Cherokee totaled my LeBaron. I hated that LeBaron, so I was thrilled to get the Protege.

I'm not a big fan of sports cars; I'm 6'1" and have long legs, so sports cars are not fun to get in and out of.

My dream car would be a BMW 750iL (what Bond drove in Tomorrow Never Dies). My dream car I could actually afford would be a 1987 Saab 900S two-door. God, I wish I'd bought it, too. :(

A 1968 Pontiac GTO LeMans convertible.
Cherry Red with white and chrome accents.

I have several that I would call "My Dream". I love old cars so I have more than a few favorites. But if I had to narrow it down I would say a Silver Aston Martin DB5, Orange 1969 Chevy Camaro with black racing stripes or a bright red 1957 Chevy with white accents.

If I was forced to choose a modern car, I want either a dark grey 2010 Camaro or Aston Martin Vantage. For a modern vehicle, they are one of the few that have an old gorgeous vintage style.

And at only $80k, it's not an impossible dream.

I find myself in much the same boat. I absolutely adore old cars.

To narrow it down a bit:
1. 1969 Dodge charger Daytona (or it's 1970 Plymouth Superbird counterpart) - color is irrelevant.
2. 1968 Ford Shelby GT500KR in dark red.
3. 1968 or 69 Lincoln Mark III in dark metallic green.

Modern Vehicles:
1. 2010 Chevy Camaro SS in bright yellow - simply amazing.
2. 2006-2010 Chevy HHR in silver or burguindy - awesome looking and riding little car.
3. 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

I still have the last Celica convertible I bought new. It's up to 40,000 miles now but still looks great. I live in Japan and work at home. So it doesn't get driven for commuting, but I would have bought one or two more by now if they hadn't stopped making them. My wife wants a new car, but I'd rather keep the Celica.

Duh. I don't really have to spell it out, right?

To give a bit more fun answer right now I'm wanting a big Sedan or Wagon since we need a car that we can fit in both front and back. Being a tall family, that is a problem. I've tested and found out that we can fit nicely into a Chrysler 300C, got nice amount of space in it. Plus it looks fantastic. But it's also very expensive to buy and own.

But a few weeks back I found an European option, a Skoda Superb. I can get into that in the driver seat, adjust it to comfortable seating for me to drive, and then get in behind myself so to speak and still have loads of leg space! the head space in back isn't perfect but a good deal better then most other Sedans. Plus it has a great amount of loading space. And it's loads cheaper to buy and own then the Chrysler. We will probably end up with the Wagon that they're relasing this month though if we buy one. Mom wants a Wagon.

As for just cars I want but are likely newer to buy out of several different reasons:
Mid-90s Chevrolet Impala SS
1968 Dodge Charger R/T
Lamborghini Gallardo Balboni
2009- Corvette ZR1

Oh and Captain Ice and AstroSmurf, good men both of you :techman:

I have different tiers as far as dream cars are concerned. I have dream cars that I simply could never own - or likely would never actually buy even if I had the money. An Aston Martin is one of those kinds of cars. Gorgeous. Powerful. Luxurious. But even if I was filthy rich, I don't think I'd own one. I cannot fathom paying $100,000+ for an automobile. And I'm a car guy, too.

I have a few more realistic choices, such as an Audi S5 or Chevy Camaro (though I'm less than impressed with the interior and the rear visibility... but the design is gorgeous). I also really like average cars that just don't happen to be sold in the U.S., like the Ford Kuga and euro-spec Honda Civic hatchback.

A DeLorean that flies.

In all seriousness, as long as i am not driving a station wagon with wood panels on the sides, I'm happy.

The Pinnacle of British motoring.

Something large, fast, refined and comfortable. This philosophy resonates deeply at Bentley and has, over time, created a legacy that embodies all of these characteristics: record-breaking feats, daring exploits and a host of exquisitely handcrafted and beautifully engineered cars. Now, more than 90 years later, the all-new flagship Bentley Mulsanne embodies W.O Bentley’s passion. It is a powerful and elegant driver’s car like nothing else on the road.
