NFL Football 2009

^ The funniest thing about Super Bowl XL (well besides how crappy it was and that only Seahawks and Steelers fans will ever remember it) was how the broadcasters were touting how much Super Bowl experience the Steelers had going into the game since they won it four times before.

So if the Packers ever get back to the Super Bowl, it should be a piece of cake for Aaron Rodgers since he apparently already has three titles.

And in the "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" section of the news... the Browns will be KEEPING coach Mangini and his entire staff! Didn't see THAT one coming!
Link ... and no , it's not The Onion
This doesn't surprise me. While the season in general was pretty bad, they were really turning around and looking like they were making progress towards the end. If Cleveland can pick back up where they left off next season rather than starting fresh, they might have a decent season coming up.

The way they ended the season is somewhat of an illusion, though. The Steelers were reeling, the Chiefs and Raiders were pathetic and Jacksonville wasn't much better.

Now they won't sign Josh Cribbs, arguably their most important and successful player? :vulcan:

Seattle fired Jim Mora. The rumored replacement is... Pete Carroll.

Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, given Carroll's last try at the NFL with the Patriots and no experience since then. Maybe Pete suspects more investigation at USC and is floating a trial balloon about moving on.

And rumor is; they will trade for Cardinals Linert, who wants out of there...

I'm just happy not to be subjected to the Steelers for the next 8 months. I couldn't take one more game of the NFL shills who masquerade as impartial announcers gushing endlessly over the great "Big Ben". It seems like each announcing crew was jockeying for position during each telecast to see who be first in the "post game Big Ben dick sucking line".

Go Ravens!

Who is the lower seed between the Ravens/Jets?

Go Ravens!

Stop that! Go Patriots!

Oh who am I kidding. Even if they win they'll get destroyed in the next round. I miss Welker's ACL pretty bad right now.

Hadn't heard that one. Might be a smart move for both sides, if the Cardinals have really given up on him.

I think Leinart is going to be a good player, eventually ... but in Arizona, he's right where he belongs—on the bench behind a vastly superior quarterback.

Digits .... looks as if Carroll has indeed made the jump to the Seahawks: Link. Any thoughts you'd like to voice on the matter?

^^^

btw. if you change your name to "ochocinco", you better be ridiculously good if you don't want to look like a clown.

Go Dallas. Hey, anything to beat Philadelphia. Once his teammates voted that "courage" award to Vick, Philadelphia officially went on top of my shit list. Crash and burn, Philly.

I hate it.

I had hoped he'd become a Trojan for life, like Joe Pa at PSU. He's had so much success at the college level, it seems his natural environment.

But I guess everyone wants to be in the pros.

PS: How about those Jets? Nice, mistake-free game by Sanchez.
