The 20th season of Survivor starts on Feb 11, 2010, just a little more than 30 days away and last night they anounced the cast. Here they are:

Heroes:
Rupert Boneham (Pearl Islands, All-Stars)
James Clement (China, Fans vs. Favorites)
Colby Donaldson (Australian Outback, All-Stars)
Cirie Fields (Panama, Fans vs. Favorites)
Amanda Kimmel (China, Fans vs. Favorites)
Jessica "Sugar" Kiper (Gabon)
Stephenie LaGrossa (Palau, Guatemala)
JT Thomas (Tocantins)
Tom Westman (Palau)
Candice Woodcock (Cook Islands)

Villains:
Tyson Apostol (Tocantins)
Randy Bailey (Gabon)

Russell Hantz (Samoa)

Quite a few people I'd like to see again, so I'm happy.

I absolutely HATE that they're giving Johnny Fairplay another chance. What a douche.

Good to see Boston Rob again, I never really had a problem with him, sure he was abrasive, but not as bad as some we've seen.

Russell Hantz didn't look too happy at the reveal this season, so I don't think that he made it very far.

Others are good too.
 
I'm sort of excited for this season. There are some people I barely remember and can't understand why they're bringing back (eg, Danielle?), some I absolutely can't stand and hope are the first out (eg, RUPERT UGH DIE DIE DIE), some I can't stand but want to see lose again (eg, Amanda), some who just grate on me (eg, Randy), some who are no longer relevant and need to let go (eg, Colby and Jerri), and some who I feel really deserve to win and hope this'll be their time (eg, Cirie).

Apparently the whole boot list was spoiled months ago...a friend sent me the link before Christmas but I'm being strong and not checking it out.

Good list! I too am glad Johnny Fairplay didn't make it this time, but it'll be cool to see Rupert again, plus a few other likeables I haven't seen in a long time.

That was my take exactly and I was discussing that with a friend today. If he would have made it to the finals of the H vs V Survivor, I don't think he would have been quite as distraught, knowing he had a second chance at it. So I agree, I'm betting he didn't do so well.
 
Awesome list, except for two people. Amanda and Parvati...I can't stand either of them, and they really don't deserve any more chances. I still can't believe Parvati was a winner, she did not deserve that. And Amanda is just irritating with her sad eyes and self-delusions about being a sweet and innocent little thing.

Otherwise I am excited to see the other people interact! It should be a good season.
 
I wouldn't be surprised to see Russell voted off within the first few shows. This season started taping about 2 weeks after Samoa finished. That's pretty taxing on the body and close together.

Not to mention being on a tribe of 'villains' and being the one unknown person since the taping took place before the Samoa season started to air.
 
I hope Russel wins,but I doubt he will. If anything I hope he play's as hard as he did in Samoa. Unfortunately now more people will be looking for hidden imunity idols without clues.

The contestants of Heroes v. Villians haven't seen Samoa -it was being filmed while Samoa was being edited/aired so Russell's game play/strategy hasn't been seen by anyone on the island.
 
I have a problem with some of these losers coming back for a third time (looking at you Colby), but whatever, it should be entertaining.

I have absolutely no idea who has a shot at winning this. Maybe Tyson?
The Heroes tribe seems a lot stronger for the challenges though, I hope it doesn't get too one-sided.
 
Yea, I don't like contestants in this thing coming back for their 3rd try. It makes Survivor too much like MTV Road Rules vs Real World challenges or something.
 
Pretty decent cast. I do have a problem with couple of the cast. Parvati, Amanda, Cirie and James all from Fans vs Favorite is ridiculous. They should have least dropped Parvati and why in hell is Danielle in this. She was neither a hero or a villian in Exile Island. Also why is Sandra on the villian tribe. She was a close ally to Rubert who is one of the most popular survivor castway in Survivor history.

I am not to sure having Tyson and Coach in the same tribe agian. Also they forgot the king of the villian Brian H from Thailand season. He dominated in his season and he won it.

I really like Russell and I think he should have won Survivor Samoa. I also think that he was the only player "playing the game" and I feel that he did a great job of that. Hope that he wins this season.:techman:
